INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES SUPPORT CLERK
Fall 2010 through Summer 2011
The Office of Instruction seeks hourly support for upcoming Instructional Services projects. Candidate will be under general supervision and perform technical, complex clerical operation tasks to assist the Vice President of Instruction and Instructional Operations staff. This will require a moderate degree of independent judgment, initiative and creativity and must be detailed oriented.
The candidate will assist the VPI’s office and Instructional Operations Supervisor in the following areas:
· Instructional Services with the following projects:
o Academic Master Planning
o Basic Skills Initiative
o Student Learning Outcomes
o Accreditation
o Academic Planning
· Knowledge of Excel (intermediate level) to generate spreadsheets for:
o Equivalencies
o WSCH
o Schedule Planning
o Strategic Instructional Goals
o Reports
· Knowledge of Word (Intermediate level) to generate:
o Official course outlines
o Correspondence
o Mail Merge
· Day-to-Day Activities of the Office:
o Duplicating
o Filing
o Inputting (typing)
o Phone Calls
o Desk Coverage
o Proof Reading
Hours per week: 15 -20 (depending on workload)
Hourly Wage: $12.00
Hours: Flexible
Knowledge: Ability to operate phone, copier, and computer.
Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word (intermediate level), Excel (intermediate level), Access, PowerPoint, Publisher). BOT students with one year experience are encouraged to apply.
Dress Code: Professional Attire Preferred
